As the drum represents the “heartbeat” of the American Indian culture, it will be treated with great respect and care. Drummers provide rhythm and songs for the dancers. They provide background music for arriving candidates enter the ceremonial ring. Drummers may be called upon to provide music for Awards and Bridging Ceremonies. They members must be able to set example at Lodge Events. Each member will be required to know all songs by memory and the meaning of each song and the tribe form which it originated. Each singer must also be able to distinguish from Northern and Southern styles and be able to explain the differences. Represent the Lodge at Section Conclaves and National Order of the Arrow Conferences.
